As more and more people rely on mobile communications in their daily lives, the pressure on telecom infrastructure is increased. We want telecom base stations to achieve higher performance while decreasing operational costs. This can be a real challenge, especially in rural and scarcely populated areas where we might lack a well-developed power grid and the nearest service technician is miles away.
High performance, real-time industrial Ethernet, and multiple form factors (Chips, Bricks and Modules) are key elements of HMS’s new, expanded Anybus CompactCom offering. The new generation provides device manufacturers with full solution flexibility.
Jörgen Palmhager and Leif Malmberg at HMS Industrial Networks take you behind the scenes of the next generation of industrial communication technology.
HMS Industrial Networks now releases a series of Anybus CompactCom modules equipped with M12 connectors. This enables network connectivity for machinery which operates in wet, dusty, or otherwise demanding industrial environments. Networks are initially PROFIBUS, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and EtherCAT.
