North Macedonia's first large-scale photovoltaic plant is already under construction, and about to be completed. The Oslomej solar project, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), has been built alongside a coal-fired power plant located in Kichevo and is equipped with eight Ingeteam solar inverters of 1,400 kW each.
Ingeteam closed the year 2021 with good numbers despite the pandemic. The last year, the company supplied 4,229 MW to the solar and energy storage global markets. The 40 MW Arañuelo III photovoltaic plant is now up and running. This is the first large-scale PV plant in Spain to incorporate an energy storage system, comprising in this case a 3MW / 9 MWh battery system.
