Ricardo delivers first virtual remote certification testing for a marine engine

To continue to enable marine sector customers to check their products’ compliance with upcoming international regulations to prevent air pollution from ships, Ricardo has implemented a virtual certification test service. This enables the witnessing agent, customer and its sub-system supplier to observe tests and validate quality checks safely and remotely.

Ricardo software included in NASA's technology transfer portfolio

The Technology Transfer Office of NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) aims to ensure that innovations developed for space exploration are made available for wider commercial use. Having proven its value in the planning of future NASA missions, Ricardo’s advanced Five Dimensional Task Analysis Visualization (5D-TAV) software has now been selected for inclusion in JSC’s technology transfer portfolio.

Test site confirmed for advanced EV charging technology trial

Today, Western Power Distribution (WPD) in partnership with Ricardo Energy and Environment, confirmed the site for its innovative DC Share project, trialling a new method which will help deliver an estimated 217,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers in urban spaces across its licence area by 2023. The technology will help to get over 3 million EVs moving across the Midlands, South Wales and South West by 2023.
