Ricardo’s technology will use sustainable forestry waste to remove greenhouse gases and provide local communities with renewable heat and electricity, and by-products for farming.

Transitioning the shipping industry to carbon-free fuels and renewable energy will eliminate emissions approximately equivalent to those of Japan or Germany while empowering local communities and economies.

Aggreko has demonstrated its commitment to lowering overall emissions by engaging global engineering and environmental consultancy Ricardo to test the performance of Aggreko generators on more sustainable alternative fuels.

To continue to enable marine sector customers to check their products’ compliance with upcoming international regulations to prevent air pollution from ships, Ricardo has implemented a virtual certification test service. This enables the witnessing agent, customer and its sub-system supplier to observe tests and validate quality checks safely and remotely.

The Technology Transfer Office of NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) aims to ensure that innovations developed for space exploration are made available for wider commercial use. Having proven its value in the planning of future NASA missions, Ricardo’s advanced Five Dimensional Task Analysis Visualization (5D-TAV) software has now been selected for inclusion in JSC’s technology transfer portfolio.

Today, Western Power Distribution (WPD) in partnership with Ricardo Energy and Environment, confirmed the site for its innovative DC Share project, trialling a new method which will help deliver an estimated 217,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers in urban spaces across its licence area by 2023. The technology will help to get over 3 million EVs moving across the Midlands, South Wales and South West by 2023.
