The vehicle diagnostics expert Softing Automotive Electronics GmbH is once more bundling its expertise with the leading provider of Controller Area Network (CAN) vehicle interfaces, Kvaser AB. Together, they offer a sturdy plug & play solution for diagnostic tasks in after-sales which can withstand even the toughest requirements in the repair shop environment. The combination of intuitive diagnostic software from Softing and the high-performance vehicle interface (VCI) from Kvaser is the ideal solution for error localization, repair and commissioning of individual components as well as entire vehicle systems, including electric vehicles and mobile working machinery. The individual after-sales tester Softing TDX.workshop, developed by OEMs and suppliers, supports service technicians in the efficient repair and maintenance of vehicles and their components. The Kvaser U100 fits in perfectly with this, flexibly and intuitively enabling high-performance vehicle communication using CAN and CAN-FD.
Shared mobility is one of the major trends of future mobility, particularly in urban regions. Large fleet operators, such as rental car and car sharing companies, also see enormous growth potential in this area. With around 255,000 rental and car sharing vehicles in Germany, “Car to Cloud to Company” will be a critical technology when it comes to efficient and inexpensive fleet deployment. This is why GlobalmatiX AG, a subsidiary of Softing AG, Munich/Haar, has developed an innovative telematics solution, which, with the help of artificial intelligence, offers the greatest amount of available data and transfer security on the market. Alongside standards such as location information and journey approval via app, the outstanding range of services includes continuous technical diagnosis of the entire vehicle, early detection of impending defects, as well as the detection of minor damage and – with the help of artificial intelligence – the reporting thereof in a damage report including a calculation of the cost of the damage. Thanks to individual data acquisition and reporting tailored to the needs of every particular fleet operator.
Following a successful digital event premiere last fall, Softing is issuing an invitation for a second virtual event, the “Softing Automotive Convention” on May 5 and 6, 2021.
Following the successful launch at pilot customers, the new generation of the high-performance and use-case-optimized Diagnostic Tool Set (Softing DTS 9) is now available. New functionalities enable even faster and more cost-efficient diagnostic development – exactly what is needed for the growing complexity of E/E architectures and shorter product development cycles Softing DTS.monaco makes it possible for developers, engineers and technicians to create consistent diagnostic functions and sequences on the basis of international standards and to ensure that diagnostic communication works reliably over the entire value chain.

The new release 11 of Softing's Diagnostic Tool Set is a very effective upgrade: Alongside support for Windows 10 and all other current platforms, consideration of updated automotive standards and the maintenance of authoring systems for ODX and OTX, the engineering tester DTS Monaco in particular features considerable extensions and improvements.
Softing has developed a mobile system solution for fast initial diagnostics and error detection on a smartphone basis. Target groups for this mobile service app are AUDI service partners in the repair shop field as well as engineers working in AUDI's development and testing divisions.
In the new Release 10 of Softing's Diagnostic Tool Set, alongside an increase in performance and the extended simulation engine, among other things, the focus is very much on heavy-duty diesel vehicles, the coding of ECU variants as well as Diagnostics over IP. Evaluation packages are available for DoIP and J1939.
