Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Tenerife, Spain, Wooptix develops advanced semiconductor wafer metrology equipment based on its proprietary Wavefront Phase Imaging® (WFPI) technology, derived from adaptive optics research. Its Phemet® systems deliver high-speed, sub-nanometre precision measurements of wafer shape, bow, warpage and surface variations for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. The technology supports blank, patterned and bonded wafers, enabling enhanced process control, defect detection and yield optimisation for advanced chip architectures. Wooptix also provides wavefront sensors for industrial and research applications. With offices in Tenerife, Madrid and Grenoble, its technology is deployed across Europe, Asia and North America.
