CIAT introduces geocooling into its building in Marseilles

At its building in Marseille, in the South of France, Ciat has installed a geothermal plant which uses a completely new prototype heat pump. It is the first on the market to be certified to Class A performance levels under the Eurovent Class A specifications in the 25 -250 kW power range. As part of the European GROUND-MED project, this HYSYS Office-type system is unusual because it operates in geocooling mode in the spring, and has achieved a remarkable five-to-one ratio of heat energy produced to electrical energy consumed.

The CIAT Group launches its latest expert brand: CIPRIANI HEAT EXCHANGERS

Cipriani (CIAT Group) is proud to present its complete range of Gasket Plate Heat Exchangers (GPHE) manufactured in its state of the art factory in Verona, Italy. Cipriani heat exchangers are specifically designed and manufactured for a wide range of fluids and utilities and HVAC applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical, marine and utility sectors. With capacities ranging from 20 to 800 m3/hr, Cipriani can satisfy the needs of a vast number of Fluid Heat Transfer applications.

SPACE GAS, with integrated condensation gas burner

CIAT launches Space Gas, a new range of roof-tops with an integrated condensation gas burner. The range covers a variety of power ratings from 60 kW to 142 kW, and is made up of 10 models in cooling-only modes with integrated gas burner, or heat pump with integrated support gas burner, and uses R-410A refrigerant. This equipment is designed to meet the needs of retail and industrial areas.

Modernisation of the Loden-Frey fashion store in Munich

The refurbishment of the HVAC system of the Loden-Frey fashion store in Munich was particularly challenging as under no circumstances could the refurbishing work disrupt normal business operations or disturb the store’s customers. The project was made all the more difficult by the restricted clearance space above the suspended ceilings and the limited space available for a new plant room.

OPERA

OPERA is CIAT’s latest range of drycoolers and air-cooled condensers. An economic solution, based on standard modules, OPERA is available in more than 4500 models, which adapt perfectly to many different applications. Whilst offering the same output, its energy efficiency is 15% better than that of previous generations. This ratio can be as much as 50% depending on options. Available power ratings go up to 1100 kW.

CIAT equips the Bluebox building in Geneva with its HEE technology

The installation of 230 COADIS 2 – HEE (High Energy Efficiency) cassette type comfort units has made a major contribution to Bluebox being the first building in the world fitted with this type of equipment to be awarded a MINERGIE® label. The use of brushless motors means that the comfort units can work at variable speed and constantly adapt themselves to the exact needs of the building.

CIAT equips the new MCB building in Mauritius

Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd (MCB), one of the first and most important commercial banks in Mauritius and whose head office is based in the capital, Port Louis, is building a new highly futuristic and eco-friendly building in the high-tech Ebene Cyber City business park. For this new building, MCB has decided to invest in the latest energy-saving technology. Thus the systems incorporated into this complex, which is due to be delivered in 2011, will allow energy savings of a staggering 32% compared with a conventional building of the same size.

CIAT equips the new FORCLUM headquarters building

The “Volta” building, located in France not far from Paris, has the distinctive feature of consuming just 69 kW/sq. m/year, which is 50% less than conventional service sector buildings. By supplying the energy production system, the air handling units and the comfort units, CIAT is a key player in this performance. Piloted by the main contractor EIFFAGE IMMOBILIER, it is the first service sector operation to be given a BBC Effinergie label in the Paris region.

CIAT has installed a cold storage system at the Valenciennes Hospital Centre, in the North of France.

The Cristopia cold storage system, commissioned a few months ago, optimizes the hospital’s energy consumption and uses refrigerating units of a 2200 kW combined power instead of the 4000 kW initially planned. This CIAT equipment produces the cooling capacity needed for the entire building (Jean BERNARD), over 110 000 m2, with a 1000 bed capacity, including, amongst other units, 14 operating theatres, 20 imaging rooms and 29 intensive care beds. The installation will pay for itself in only 4 years.
