CoreX ONE: Industrial tomography that redefines price/performance for series production

Ready Metrology debuts in Elmia with a compact, self-shielded, 30–40-second scan cycle CT system designed for the line operator — bunker-free, no annual maintenance, no price compromises.

The debut: Elmia 2025
Ready Metrology chooses the Elmia fair in Jönköping as the stage for the worldwide launch of CoreX ONE, the industrial computed tomography system created to operate directly in the production field.

A product that comes from the experience gained on previous models and from the direct feedback of manufacturing companies that use tomography in the workshop on a daily basis: the result is a highly optimized machine, with a price/performance ratio that is unparalleled in its category.

Laboratory technology, reimagined for the line
Traditional industrial tomography systems are designed to meet any laboratory need: high-density materials, components of any size, sub-micrometric resolutions.

This flexibility comes at a cost: configuration complexity, specialized operators, scanning cycles that can reach 20-30 minutes, and heavy annual maintenance on the filament of the fixed anode source, which always hit in the same point, degrades to the point of requiring mandatory periodic interventions.

CoreX ONE breaks this pattern.

The system mounts a rotating anode source – the same technology used in hospital tomographs, where acquisition speed is an absolute necessity – which distributes heat on a disk rather than on a fixed point.

The result is a power output of up to 2,400 W compared to 60–90 W of traditional fixed anode systems, zero routine maintenance on the source and an operating life up to 5 times longer, often equal to the entire useful life of the system.

A technical advantage that translates directly into a significantly lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

30–40 seconds: from workpiece to result
The operator loads the piece from above, through the top-loading door, which drastically reduces floor space and speeds up each cycle.

Press the start button – located directly next to the loading opening, without having to return to the mouse – and in 30–40 seconds the system captures, reconstructs and visualizes the element in 3D.

No preliminary setup, no focusing, no configuration of filters or parameters: CoreX ONE is pre-configured to the specific types of material and part, with a source, a panel and a focal spot optimized for that specific size.

The large-pixel detector maximizes speed and signal-to-noise ratio, prioritizing productivity over sub-micrometer resolution not required in a shop floor setting.

Self-shielded, compact, in-line production
CoreX ONE is a self-shielded system: it does not require bunkers, dedicated room or external shading.

Its dimensions are those of an industrial bench, with a small footprint thanks to the top-loading design. It can be installed directly on the production line, making it accessible even for manufacturing companies with limited space.

The machine is aimed at manufacturers of aluminum, plastic, carbon fiber, glass, titanium and light alloy components — and covers parts from 5 mm up to 140 mm with the standard configuration, with scalable versions available for larger or smaller sizes.

Software for the operator, not the specialist
The CoreX ONE software has been developed from scratch for the production environment.

The interface presents all the critical dimensions on the screen in a single histogram with SPC functions: at a glance, the operator distinguishes whether the piece just measured is an isolated waste or the signal of a process drift in progress, being able to correct the line before accumulating waste. Complete measurement reports are generated and saved in one click, without prior configuration: a concrete tool both for the certification of the output product and for the quick setup at shift change or batch change.

For volumetric control – internal porosity, cavities, structural discontinuities on aluminum, plastic or composite moldings – the included 3D software automatically detects internal defects by discriminating them by size. Goodbye to physical cuts on the sample, subjective evaluation, rejects involuntarily delivered to the customer: CoreX ONE sees the whole piece, not just in the section where it would have been sliced.

A price that changes the market
The combination of a zero-maintenance rotating anode source, simplified hardware design without complex axes of motion, and software tailored for production — rather than adapted by the lab — has enabled Ready Metrology to position CoreX ONE at a price point that makes industrial tomography affordable even for applications previously considered too simple to justify: aluminum extrusion, plastic profiles, rubber gaskets.

Sectors in which today profile projectors are used on samples cut with millimeter precision, with all the time and skills that this requires.

CoreX ONE measures those same dimensions — wall thicknesses, internal diameters, angles, radii, distances — without sample preparation, in 30 seconds, with a ready-to-print report.

This will be seen directly in Elmia, where anyone can experience the speed of Corex One and its ease of use.
