Manitou Group, a world reference in handling solutions, personnel lifting and earthmoving equipment, has chosen SERE Maintenance, a member of EUROPONT and the SAV VERLINDE network, to equip its new rough-terrain aerial platform production unit in Candé, Maine-et-Loire, with overhead cranes and lifting equipment. This 18,000m² plant, which has been in operation since the end of 2021, is part of an overall plan to develop and modernise industrial tools at all the group's sites. It was launched with the aim of increasing the group's production capacity in response to strong demand from the European and North American markets.
Heripret, partner of Verlinde and member of the after-sales and Europont networks, designed, produced and installed a 40-tonne overhead crane with a 25-tonne auxiliary for handling 35-tonne moulds at a metallurgy works. The company wanted to robotise certain processes in small series or even single unit production, by allowing an operator with no programming skills to teach the robotic system, in just a few seconds, the process to be carried out, and then to execute the cycle with complete confidence without human supervision. Fuzzy Logic's Repplix application software module addresses all aspects of this requirement in a cost-effective manner. The first use case selected was the tedious, manual cleaning of the moulds used to manufacture composites.
