With the introduction of the new UMILL 1000, EMCO is strategically expanding its range of universal machining centres in the 5-axis simultaneous machining sector, thereby creating the ideal bridge between the UMILL 750 and UMILL 1500 models.

In machine tool manufacturing, one of the main preconditions for ensuring productivity and delivery readiness is a cleanly structured production process, with precisely timed production sequences and reliably functioning manufacturing systems. The machine base and the slide geometry of the HYPERTURN 45 G3 have been redesigned to enlarge the working space and accommodate a wider turret clearance to allow the integration of a 16-station tool turret and a larger Y-axis stroke of +/- 40mm. The machine remains compact, and the 72° slant bed perfectly supports the ergonomic requirements and optimal chip flow. What is more, EMCO offers holistic solutions for the automation of machine tools, e.g. “Turn/Mill Assist”, a standardised automation solution and currently the most compact solution for loading and unloading EMCO turning and milling machines.

As a logical consequence of successfully establishing the Umill 1800 and Umill 1500 on the market, EMCO is now enlarging its portfolio with the new Umill 750 - size X = 750 mm. The efficient vertical milling machine for simultaneous 5-axis machining with its compact design and low installation space requirements allows even large components to be machined. The use of European components guarantees users highest precision and surface quality.

The development of the Umill is a result of many years of MECOF experience - since 1947 Mecof has been developing and manufacturing vertical portal milling machines and horizontal moving column machining centers in Italy. Just in time for the biggest trade show for machine tool manufacturing, EMCO MECOF will present the new model of the Umill Range – the new Umill 1500 - at the EMO in Hannover - a 5-axis milling center for the complete machining of complex workpieces in a single set-up, which demonstrates impressive performance figures and will be used in mold & dies, aerospace, precision general engineering and energy engineering. With the expansion of the Umill series, EMCO MECOF is responding to the demand for compact 5-axis machining centers with automation, which have a high performance, performance and accuracy.

For more than 10 years, the E series has been successful on the market as an EMCO entry-level machine. In recent years, the range of models has been consequently expanded by further functionalities such as a counter-spindle and Y-axis. Today, it facilitates entry into the area of complete bar and chuck machining.

Based on its long-standing experience and customer-oriented philosophy, EMCO – in cooperation with the Italian subsidiary EMCO Famup – has expanded its MAXXMILL series and developed a high-performance vertical CNC milling centre for 5-sided machining: the new MAXXMILL 750. The compact and optimised machine structures as well as the technical adaptations enable users to machine complex and heavy workpieces with an edge length of 530 x 530 x 417 mm in just one setting - with efficient results in terms of surface quality and precision.

With the new MAXXMILL 630, EMCO customers can enjoy a flexible vertical CNC milling machine for 5-sided machining. Complex workpieces with an edge length of 445 x 445 x 290 mm can be efficiently and precisely machined in one setting.
