Recycling specialist Parry & Evans has installed Bunting magnetic separators to recover metal from pre-sorted domestic waste. At their Deeside plant in the United Kingdom, the company uses a Permanent Overband Magnet to recover ferrous metals such as steel food cans, and an Eddy Current Separator to reclaim valuable aluminium including drinks cans.
A European Ilmenite producer has purchased a 2-stage Magnetic Disc Separator (MDS). The mineral processor originally purchased their first Magnetic Disc Separator in 1995 and the new magnetic separator will provide additional processing capacity as well as guaranteeing continual production.
The first Hillhead was held in 1982 and over those 40 years Bunting has manufactured and supplied thousands of magnetic separators and metal detectors for use in the aggregate and recycling industry. Once again, Bunting is exhibiting at the 2022 show, helping companies solve metal separation and detection problems from stand C9.
At the 2022 PCIM Europe exhibition (10-12 May, Nuremberg, Germany), Bunting is promoting the recently acquired MagDev range of soft magnetic products on stand 137 in hall 9.
Advanced separation technology enabling enhanced metal recovery is the focus on Bunting’s stand B6-452 at IFAT 2022 (Messe Munchen, Germany, May 30-June 3). Technology, such as the patented SSSC Stainless Steel Separator, uses ultra-high magnetic fields to recover metals previously lost to waste.
353,000 tonnes of window profiles and related products got recycled in 2020 (source Recovinyl). Although there was a slight fall in the total amount of PVC recycled in 2020 (due to the Covid-19 pandemic), the UK and Ireland recycle the second highest tonnage in Europe behind Germany.
Following the success of attending Coiltech Italia in 2021 and a record year for magnetising equipment sales, Bunting is exhibiting at the first Coiltech Deutschland (6-7 April 2022).
An aluminium dross processing plant in the Middle East has purchased an Eddy Current Separator, Drum Magnet and ElectroStatic Separator to recover the valuable metal. The separation equipment was designed and built by Bunting at their Redditch manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom.
