Delta’s Smart Building Automation Solutions Deliver Substantial Energy Savings for Telecom Italia’s Office Building in the Veneto Region, Italy

Delta, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, announced today it has successfully implemented its Building Automation Solutions at an office site of Telecom Italia, Italy’s largest telecom operator and one of the most prominent carriers in Europe. The smart solution, which includes Delta’s cloud-ready Building Energy Management System (BEMS), enables real-time automated and remote supervision and eco-friendly control of the building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system to attain estimated annual HVAC-related electricity savings of more than 12% and an expected payback period lower than 2 years.

Delta Group, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, actively participated in the COP21 UN Climate Conference held in Paris. As international climate negotiations are drawing to a close, Delta hosted a UN side conference with the theme of energy conservation. Delta and its partners such as MIT, China Renewable Energy Society, India’s The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute joined together to remind the world to invest more resources in enhancing energy efficiency to control the CO2 in the atmosphere, so that the earth’s temperature rises by less than 2°C.

Delta Commits to Carbon Reduction and Presents 21 Green Buildings at the Grand Palais in Paris, France

Delta announced that it joined the “Road to Paris” initiative by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and has committed to a 30% reduction in its electricity intensity by the year 2020, which follows a 50% reduction already achieved by the company over the past five years. Delta Electronics will actively participate in a series of events that reflect its commitment to sustainability during the upcoming COP21. Delta will present its 21 green buildings, which it has constructed over the past 10 years, at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. In addition, Delta will organize a side event, which has been approved by the United Nations COP21 General Secretariat, to share its knowledge and achievements in energy savings and the construction of green buildings.
