Faster E-motor Production with Wire Brake Application

 For the faster production of e-motors, Siemens has developed a new application which optimally controls wire tension for linear winding and minimizes fluctuations in force. The Wire Brake software application for automated winding of rectangular coil former controls the tension of the copper wire.

Siemens supports the energy transition on the Azores

Siemens Smart Infrastructure, in partnership with Fluence, was awarded a contract by the Portuguese energy provider EDA – Electricidade dos Açores to build a battery-based energy storage system on Terceira, the second biggest island in terms of electrical consumption of the Azores archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean.

VALIDATION GOES DIGITAL - SIEMENS AND J&K TECHNOLOGY ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP

Siemens and J&K Technology, part of the J&K Group, announce the development of the new CVal software solution for COMOS. J&K Technology, a specialist in cGxP Compliance Services, has developed the CVal solution. CVal is a digital process and plant validation software for use in the pharmaceutical industry, based on the Siemens COMOS Plant Engineering software solution. This involves a wide range of different modules based on the COMOS platform and the COMOS Data Document Management System (DDMS). As a result, this digital application consistently creates greater data integrity, quality, coherence, and topicality.

City of Genoa more sustainable with Siemens charging infrastructure and Rampini ebuses

Siemens Smart Infrastructure will provide the charging infrastructure for 10 Rampini E80 electric buses in Genoa, Italy, to be used by AMT Genova (AMT), the city's public transport operator. With this project, AMT continues its journey of electrifying the public transport system in Genoa, aiming to create an energy-efficient and sustainable model of urban mobility. The Siemens charging infrastructure is scheduled to be commissioned by the summer of 2021.
