Beckhoff has introduced two new motor tiles for its XPlanar flying motion system, enabling more compact layouts and greater route flexibility. The larger-format APS4244 (320 x 320 mm) and APS4242 (320 x 160 mm) tiles support 1- or 2-track operation for APM43x0 movers, allowing users to cut space requirements and system costs by up to 50%—particularly in applications handling payloads between 800 g and 3 kg.
With their integrated power supply and enhanced motion control dynamics, the new tiles deliver higher precision and reduced minimum mover spacing, resulting in greater packing density.
This expanded form factor opens the door to new XPlanar applications that benefit from increased throughput, optimized layouts, and more cost-effective planar motor designs.
