At E-world energy & water 2026 in Essen, from 10 to 12 February, Schneider Electric will showcase system solutions for grid operation, energy storage, electromobility, and digital planning. The exhibition focuses on the technical modernization of energy infrastructures under increasing demands for efficiency, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
Context of the cooperation
The transformation of energy systems is characterized by rising electricity demand, increasing decentralization, volatile renewable generation, and growing regulatory requirements. Grid operators, municipal utilities, and industrial energy users face the challenge of modernizing existing infrastructure while maintaining security of supply.
Schneider Electric addresses these challenges by combining hardware, software, and consulting services. This portfolio is complemented by specialized solutions from ETAP, inno2grid, and RIB Software, covering different layers of energy and infrastructure management.
Technical solutions and division of responsibilities
In the area of grid management, Schneider Electric presents the One Digital Grid Platform, a modular, AI-enabled software solution for planning, operating, and managing grid assets. The platform supports real-time analytics, fault localization, and low-voltage use cases, including §14a-compliant control and event-driven grid operation.
For energy storage and electromobility, the scalable battery energy storage solution Schneider Boost Pro and the StarCharge Fast 720 DC fast charger are on display. These systems enable load management, self-consumption optimization, and the electrification of bus and commercial vehicle fleets with charging capacities of up to 720 kW.
ETAP complements the system approach with software for planning, simulation, and real-time operation of electrical energy systems. Based on an electrical digital twin, the platform enables network simulation, analysis, and model-based monitoring through eSCADA and the ETAP Power Simulator.
inno2grid presents resilience concepts for municipal utilities and energy providers, integrating technical and organizational measures to ensure security of supply even under crisis conditions. RIB Software showcases ERP and construction management solutions that link technical planning, procurement, construction, and operation of energy infrastructure projects within a continuous digital process.
Deployment and application areas
The solutions are aimed at distribution and transmission system operators, municipal utilities, industrial companies, and charging infrastructure operators. Typical application areas include grid modernization, renewable energy integration, load management, energy transition infrastructure projects, and digital grid operations.
Expected impact
By combining digital grid management, energy storage, charging infrastructure, and integrated project control, the showcased systems support improved grid stability, greater planning reliability, and more efficient execution of energy projects. The cooperative approach enables users to address technical and organizational requirements of the energy transition through scalable, interoperable systems.
Schneider Electric will be exhibiting at E-world 2026 in Hall 6, Stand L112. Technical discussions with company representatives will be available during the event.
