DLG Group, one of northern Europe’s leading producers of agricultural feedstocks and agri-products, has deployed a computerized maintenance management system to modernize its maintenance operations and reduce downtime.
Working with Rockwell Automation, DLG implemented the Fiix® CMMS platform to standardize workflows, improve asset visibility and enhance collaboration between maintenance and production teams. The company expects the initiative to deliver a 10% reduction in downtime within one year.
Moving from fragmented workflows to centralized data
Prior to deployment, maintenance processes varied across sites and systems, with knowledge often siloed locally. This limited visibility into recurring issues and constrained the company’s ability to share best practices companywide.
By digitizing work orders and maintenance records within Fiix CMMS, DLG created a centralized data environment. Maintenance teams can now manage queues in real time, monitor asset histories and coordinate more effectively with production planners.
Within one month of implementation, the company reported improvements in mean time between failures (MTBF), indicating more stable equipment performance.
Improving maintenance productivity and inventory control
The new system enables better tracking of common faults, corrective actions and preventive tasks across multiple facilities. This data-driven approach supports more consistent maintenance planning and facilitates optimization of spare-parts inventory.
Factory managers benefit from improved time-to-resolution and clearer prioritization of tasks. The visibility provided by the CMMS also strengthens cross-functional cooperation, helping align maintenance schedules with production requirements.
Building toward predictive maintenance
Beyond immediate productivity gains, DLG is using the platform to develop standardized maintenance best practices. Consolidated performance data allows teams to identify patterns, refine preventive strategies and scale improvements across sites.
The long-term objective is to transition from structured preventive maintenance to a fully data-driven predictive maintenance model. By leveraging historical and real-time data, DLG aims to anticipate failures before they occur, further reducing downtime and increasing operational efficiency.
Supporting operational resilience in agri-processing
For DLG Group, the CMMS deployment represents a strategic step in digital transformation. By improving maintenance planning, optimizing inventory and fostering collaboration, the company is strengthening equipment reliability across its agri-processing operations.
The project illustrates how standardized maintenance software can deliver measurable reductions in downtime while laying the groundwork for advanced predictive maintenance in complex, multi-site industrial environments.
