Delta, a global leader in power management and smart green solutions, announced today that its development process for automotive-grade smartphone wireless charging systems has achieved the ASPICE CL2 (Capability Level 2) assessment, conducted by the certification organization TÜV NORD Taiwan, a member of TÜV NORD GROUP. ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination) is a globally recognized framework for assessing software and systems development processes in the automotive industry. The assessment demonstrates compliance with the process maturity expectations of global vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. This milestone confirms that Delta has established standardized, measurable and continuously improving engineering and quality management processes across the product development lifecycle that are in line with the industry's demanding quality standards.

An example of Delta's engineering capabilities is its latest Qi 2.2 MPP-compliant automotive wireless charging module for smartphones, developed using the company's standardized development processes. Designed for both conventional and electric vehicles, the module delivers up to 25W of power, boosting a smartphone's battery to 50% in just 30 minutes. This breakthrough helps overcome the limitations of slow in-vehicle wireless charging and frequent charging interruptions caused by thermal conditions. Its advanced Magnetic Alignment technology also helps maintain charging performance despite vehicle vibrations and device misalignment. Furthermore, the module integrates NFC functionality to support digital car keys, alongside foreign metal object detection (FOD) and card protection mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable charging performance while driving.
