AOD® - Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps
Patented, Oil-Less, Stall-Free Design, the Price Pump AOD® is a great utility pump for numerous industrial applications, when the fluid is difficult to handle. Wherever compressed air is available, AOD® enables to solve many pumping problem.
AOD® pumps operate substantially different from conventional electrically driven pumps. The general principle is to transfer fluid through the pump by means of a user supplied source of compressed air. It consists of suction and discharge manifolds, suction and discharge ball valves, liquid and air chambers. The air chambers are separated by diaphragms, which are in turn, connected bu a common shaft. An advanced distribution system enables to displace the fluid. The state-of-the art “POSI-SHIFT” air valve design supplies a continuous high pressure signal to the main spool, which insures reliable stall-free operation (without blockage).
It operates on as low as 0.35 kg/cm2 and as flow rates as 3.5 liter/hr. These pumps handle wide range of fluids (up to 50,000 cP). Bulk transfer- even dry powder, viscous liquids, paint and inks are efficiently handled. It is safe on shear sensitive and fragile fluids.
It offers a 100% confidence in start/stop batching applications and a 100% confidence for "on-demand" dispensing systems. AOD® is excellent on low flow chemical injection systems. Maximum Flow Rate is up to 50m3/hour.
AOD® is easy to operate. AOD does not add energy or heat to the liquid. As, it contains no electrical part, it is intrinsically Explosion Proof (it is ATEX certified). Runs off are available compressed air or other gases.Variable Flow Rates are possible. It is submersible, light weight and portable. It is also safe: closing the discharge will simply stall the pump. 5 YEAR Warranty are offered on Main Spool and Pilot Spool.
AOD® allows oil-less operation thanks to precision manufacturing techniques and no direct metal to metal contact. Air Valve Assemblies include specially modified fluorocarbon resin materials, which glide smoothly without lubrication. All dynamic sealing is completed without the use of O-rings, resulting in less wear.
The oil-less design results in lower operating and maintenance costs, in no risk of oil misting into the environment and unhealthy working conditions. Lubricants or grease cannot contaminate products.
Maintenance is minimal: It is designed with significantly less parts than the existing offers on the market. It means fewer problems. The externally serviceable main spool makes inspection quick and easy. The Price Pump AOD® pilot spool provides a continuous high-pressure signal to the main power spool, assuring a positive shift under all operating conditions.
