Gleason Switzerland Delivers 1,000th Machine
Gleason Switzerland AG located in Studen, close to Bern/Switzerland, is since 1997 part of Gleason Corporation, worldwide leading solutions provider for the design and manufacture of gears.
In the year 1999 the first gear hobbing machine of the newly developed P60/P90 platform was built in Switzerland and delivered. 20 years later Gleason Switzerland delivers the 1,000th machine of this series.Through the year the P-Series of machine experienced continuous improvements and further developments to address additional applications and processes. Today the P60/90 platform is one of the leading products in the gear manufacturing industry. Machines are built according to customer requirements and tailored to the application.
The 1,000st machine will be delivered to customer Grob AG in Nebikon/Switzerland, a leading Swiss supplier of high-quality gears. Gleason Switzerland will celebrate this special event during handover of the machine.

Gleason Switzerland AG employs more than 140 employees at its headquarters in Studen. In spring 2018, a new competence and production center for automotive gears and similar size applications was opened in Studen. Since May 2019, the honing machine activities of the former Faessler AG, with production plants in Bleienbach and Dietikon, have also been part of Gleason Switzerland AG.
