Liebherr Components at Agritechnica 2019
At Agritechnica 2019, Liebherr presents itself again as a reliable partner for agriculture and forestry. To keep pace with the requirements of this branch, Liebherr constantly develops its specialised component solutions for it.
Among the present challenges of the agricultural and forestry business are the rising fuel costs and ever stricter emission regulations. In order to meet those, Liebherr focuses on increased efficiency and lower consumption in the development of diesel engines and hydraulic components. At the exhibition, the Liebherr team displays in-line diesel engines specifically designed to fulfil these tasks: the D976 and D964. The new D976 is currently Liebherr's biggest and most powerful in-line engine.
It features a displacement of 18 litres and a performance range of 565 to 620 kW in its standard version. The peak torque is an impressive 3,650 Nm at 1,500 rpm. On top, it fulfils the demanding EU Stage V exhaust emission standards and can be fitted with Tier 4f and Stage IIIa equivalent solutions thanks to the modular exhaust gas aftertreatment system concept. For Stage V, Liebherr own systems - SCRFilter and SCROnly - are in use.
Agriculture and forestry machines are exposed to high dynamic loads and use corresponding high pressures. Under these conditions, the robust design of Liebherr hydraulic pumps and motors guarantees a long service life. To exemplify this, Liebherr presents the hydraulic double motor DMVA D 165-165, the hydraulic pump DPVG 140 as well as size 85 of the series 20 of the LH30VO medium pressure pump. The series 20 of the axial piston pump LH30VO offers an optimised installation possibility to power take-offs as well as a modular range of controls.
The pump's highly flexible through-drive concept even shines when built-in. The LH30VO product family is, therefore, optimised for use in mobile and stationary applications. There it is powering, for example, the equipment, ventilation systems or steering of the machines and can also be used in power unit construction.
Information technologies now also play a decisive role in agriculture and forestry. Liebherr electronic solutions support OEM and driver throughout the process. For example, they enable the monitoring of machines or the linking of intelligent systems by using telematics units. Furthermore, work safety is always in focus. To reproduce the working environment in detail even under difficult light conditions, such as direct sunlight or light-shade changes, a powerful camera like the MDC3 digital smart camera is crucial. At Agritechnica 2019, Liebherr presents for the first time new features of the MDC3: High Dynamic Range, lens correction, digital zoom and multicasting.
Together with a customisable DC5 display of the fifth generation it forms a visually powerful camera monitor system and provide an optimal basis for customer-specific developments.
