MAGNETIC SYSTEM FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF LINEAR AND ANGULAR DISPLACEMENT

New magnetic system MPI-R10, composed of an LCD multifunctional display, connected to a specific magnetic sensor FC-MPI, and the magnetic band M-BAND-10 for the measurement of linear and angular displacement.

The system allows precise alignment and positioning, reducing time and machining procedures to the minimum. MPI-R10, in glass-fibre reinforced polyamide based technopolymer, presents a new design and more compactdimensions (mm 72x37). Thanks to the system with retention wing, assembly and disassembly operations of the device from the panel are quick and easy. Long-life internal lithium battery (4 years) with buffered memory during battery substitution. Multifunctional LCD display with 7 digits and special characters (12 mm high).

Wide value display, and 4 multifunction keys for the setting of values and programs. Values are displayed in millimeters, inches or angular degrees. Moreover, it’s possible to visualise the absolute or the incremental mode, to set up to 10 offset values, to memorise and display 32 target positions and to fulfill the self-diagnostic. The magnetic measuring system is available in IP54 and IP67 classes.

The second component of the system is the magnetic sensor with cable FC-MPI, in die-cast zinc. The cable is connected to the display by a snap assembly that facilitates insertion and guarantees correct connection even in the presence of vibrations or accidental tears. The magnetic sensor cable is available in different lengths (max. 5 m). The last component is the magnetic band M-BAND-10 which is made of two separate parts: the magnetic band and the cover strip. The magnetic band is made of a magnetic tape, a carrier strip and an adhesive tape. The cover strip is made of a protection strip and an adhesive tape. The magnetic band maximum length is up to 25 m.
