First order for CIAT’s Coadis Line in the UK
The Colindale Police Station in West London is being refurbished under the MPS (Metropolitan Police Service) Custody Improvement Programme, and CIAT’s state-of-the-art Coadis Line comfort units have been chosen to meet the heating and cooling needs of the new facility. Coadis Line reduces energy consumption, improves air quality and adapts easily to all installation configurations.

As part of a wide-ranging modernisation and improvement programme, the MPS is determined to make custody sites as safe, effective and efficient as possible, including larger suites with more cells, interview rooms and other facilities. The main aim of the renovation works at Colindale is to improve the processing capabilities of the custody suite.
CIAT were given the opportunity to quote on the project by a progressive company called Solarvent Ltd.
Solarvent Ltd are a UK company who deal in high efficiency, quality HVAC products, including FCUs, and have built up strong relationships with blue chip Clients such as Wates Construction Ltd.
Solarvent were aware of CIAT’s potential to provide high quality, high efficiency, yet value for money products combined with strong support services and technical backing.
They have also been so pleased with CIAT’s performance throughout the project that CIAT’s business relationship is being broadened further with Solarvent within both the UK and as part of Solarvent’s Middle East activities in Qatar.
CIAT´s Coadis Line was chosen within the framework of the modernisation process at Collindale thanks to its exceptional quality and results both in terms of design and performance. Coadis Line integrates a modern and aesthetic complete air discharge/return panel with Coanda effect diffusion and is equipped with a low energy High Energy Efficiency (HEE) motor, which reduces energy consumption by up to 85%. In addition, “Epure” technology exclusive to CIAT safeguards occupants' health and guarantees excellent indoor air quality thanks to anultra-high quality filtration system that takes concentration levels of PM 2.5 particles suspended in the air to below the threshold recommended by the WHO (10 µg/m³).
CIAT has created the Flexiway concept to cater for all types of space, their modular characteristics and future developments, making Coadis Line the ideal product for harmonising open area and partitioned spaces. The Coadis Line's single-slit, one- or four-way diffusion system on a single type of frame, which allows it to be installed in partitioned or open-space office layouts alike. The "one-way" version is designed for partitioned areas covering 10 to 20 sq. m with each unit placed at the edge of the area.
Although another competitor was originally specified by the MPS, CIAT offered a superior technical solution at a more competitive price. In addition to its innovative Flexiway and Epure functions, the Coadis Line features a lightweight design that is ideal for handling on site. Moreover, its ABS construction, recyclability (87%) and lack of a condensate pump, which keeps the external controls simple, are all advantages that give the Coadis Line a significant edge over rival products. After evaluating these key benefits, the choice was clear and CIAT´s Coadis Line was approved for the project.
The 140 units will be installed at Collindale via Solarvent Ltd for Wates Building Services.
