HARTING Announces New Role as a Principal Member of ODVA and Reaffirms Commitment to the Advancement of Industrial Ethernet and IIoT.
HARTING Technology Group is pleased to announce they have become a Principal Member of the Global Industry Association ODVA, represented by their subsidiary HARTING Americas.
ODVA welcomes the increased contribution of HARTING as a principal member as well as their expertise in connectivity, Their participation as a principal member will contribute to and grow ODVA’s ability to move the connectivity of the industrial enterprise forward to meet the increased demands of IIoT and Industry 4.0.

ODVA, based in Ann Arbor (Michigan, USA), is a standards development organization that works to advance open, interoperable information and communication technologies. The core technologies and interests of ODVA are media-independent network protocol "CIP" (Common Industrial Protocol) and the network adaptations of CIP (particularly EtherNet/IP and DeviceNet).
HARTING joins other world-leading automation companies, including CISCO, Rockwell Automation, Endress+Hauser, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and OMRON as Principal Members of ODVA.
HARTING’s promotion into the leadership group of ODVA is reflective of its growth in expertise and commitment to the advancement of industrial Ethernet and connectivity solutions for the automation industry. HARTING has been working to democratize the adoption of IIoT and Industry 4.0 for many years. In their new role with ODVA, they will be positioned to identify and standardize different technologies and devices that will be needed for the automation industry to successfully implement IIoT.
