Compact and precise positioning - DATORKER^® shaft gear unit from HIWIN

HIWIN – The Offenburg-based supplier of linear drive technology is expanding its product range to include compact shaft gear units which achieve precise positioning: The DATORKER.

DATORKER are high reduction gear units typically equipped with crossed roller bearings. This technical property makes the gearbox unit perfect for use in robots and swivel units in industrial systems, but they are also used in medical equipment, such as dental milling machines.

Due to the high reduction ratios ranging from 50 to 120 as well as the mechanically backlash-free design, they can also achieve very high positioning precision – and all this with small dimensions and low weight!

HIWIN offers five different sizes, from the pure gear component to the finished gear unit with output bearing and sealed housing. Depending on the application, the gear unit is equipped with a hub with integrated key or with a hollow shaft. This means that, if necessary, media such as pneumatic or electric lines can also be routed directly through the gear unit.
