Dressed to clean PackEx India: KOLLMORGEN simplifies packaging machine construction
Mumbai 6. November: Easy to install, easy to clean, efficient in operation: the best drive technology solutions for packaging machines. Why KOLLMORGEN strives only for value-added essentials to be built-in will be demonstrated by our industry specialists in Servo Drives and Motion Control at PackEx India, from November 14-16, 2014 in the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai (Hall 1/G01).
When it comes to Simple Machine Design, our robust AKD-N distributed servo controllers stand out for being easily integrated in close proximity to the motor in machine construction − thanks to its compact dimensions and a high degree of protection. In addition, the single-cable technology, with a hybrid cable only eleven millimeters thick between the controller and the motor, halves the installation costs. Together with the AKMH stainless steel servo motors, cleaning process is made considerably easier. At PackEx, KOLLMORGEN is also introducing the new Hygienic Design ERD stainless steel actuators. The ready-to-install drive systems in protection type IP69K are mainly tailored for lifting applications or format adjustments in the packaging, food and pharmaceutical industries. Compared with pneumatically driven axes, electrically-driven linear axes are more easily controlled, are more energy-efficient, quieter and have a longer service life. The new servo controllers are celebrating another first within the AKD device series. Currents rated up to 48 A now make it possible for a servo drive system to also cater for applications with high power requirements. This mainly includes the drives supporting the main processes within a production or packaging line.Image:
