FANUC America, the world leader in CNCs, robotics, and ROBOMACHINEs will sponsor the Next-Gen Manufacturing Education Pavilion at Automate, June 6-9 in Detroit. This is an excellent opportunity for instructors, students and parents to learn more about automation careers based on Industry 4.0 technologies.

See FANUC’s latest robot and automation solutions along with a variety of our education partners at the high school, community college and university level. In addition, Focus Hope will join the pavilion to showcase its new Training Pathways Program.

“Companies are looking for the next generation of workers who have the skills to use robotic and CNC technologies,” said Paul Aiello, executive director of education, FANUC America. “We’re excited for the opportunity to help students and job-seekers learn more about FANUC’s automation education training and certifications.”

On Thursday, June 9, students are invited to visit the show to see the latest automation technologies and hear speakers specifically address how they can take advantage of automation career opportunities today and in the future.

“Whatever your interest, there’s a career path waiting for you in automation,” said Jeff Burnstein, president of A3. “From automotive, to warehousing and logistics, to food and beverage – students will learn how automation is used in industry and the exciting job opportunities available.”

The Automate 2022 Show and Conference runs June 6-9 at Huntington Place convention center in Detroit and is hosted by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3), the leading global advocate for the benefits of automating.

FANUC will highlight a variety of education and workforce solutions including the latest CRX-10iA cobot. Students will be encouraged to try the cobot’s intuitive hand guidance and easy-to-use tablet programming. Also, FANUC will showcase an Advanced Manufacturing Education cell that demonstrates the latest Industry 4.0 technology by integrating a six-axis ER-4iA robot with a Rockwell PLC, HMI screen, and VFD conveyor.

Additional robot demonstrations will include a fun-filled challenge where students will race a robot. A FANUC M-1iA/0.5A robot will use a color 2D iRvision® camera to pick and sort pills of different colors at very high speeds. Attendees will try to pick and sort pills faster than the robot.

FANUC will also display its CNC Simulator, designed specifically for training purposes. The CNC Simulator ensures affordable access to the latest FANUC CNC platform in a compact and portable package without the need of an actual CNC machine. The simulator provides a physical object, resembling an actual CNC interface, for operators, programmers and technicians to gain hands-on experience with FANUC controls. FANUC’s CNC simulator can be easily integrated into any classroom or training room, allowing users to have a much more realistic and tactile experience with CNC operations training.
