WORLD’S FIRST CAMERA WITH HOT AND COLD-SPOT TRACKING FROM SCOTT SAFETY DEBUTS AT INTERSEC 16
The world’s only camera with hot-spot and cold-spot tracking will debut to the Middle Eastern fire market at Intersec 2016 (Scott Safety stand 3-H32, 17th to 19th January 2016, Dubai).
Scott Safety, the global leader in design, manufacture and supply of respiratory protective equipment, gas detection and thermal imaging technology, is inviting visitors to witness the capabilities of its X380N thermal imager with ISG Technology, which enables firefighters to obtain better situational awareness of a fire scene.Using this technology, firefighters can instantly see and create paths through cooler spots and avoid the highest risk areas such as floors or ceilings likely to collapse in the blaze. The cold spot tracker enables first responders to locate and pin point thread or valve gas leaks as gas that will be colder in temperature than the environment surrounding it.
Scott Safety’s next generation of respiratory protection will also be on show including the latest addition to its Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) range, the ProPak-fx which has been designed specifically to meet the demands of the Professional Fire Service. An adjustable backplate, padded shoulder straps and swivel waist belt now offers firefighters an unequalled level of performance and user comfort. The entire ProPak range has been approved to EN137:2006 Type 2, incorporating the stringent Full Flame Engulfment Test.
The new ProPak range comes with a choice of 200 - 300bar cylinders, as well as the new high-pressure 379 bar cylinder technology. At 25% higher pressures than the current 300bar SCBA, the 379 bar cylinder offers significantly increased duration with minimal increases in size and weight. At the size of a typical 60 minute cylinder, the Scott Safety offering provides a duration of 75 minutes breathing time.
Joining over 27,000 buyers at one of the world’s leading trade fair for Security, Safety and Fire Protection, Scott Safety’s presence at Intersec shows its commitment to the region and its expertise in the personal protection market. In 2011 Scott Safety opened a training, servicing and assembly facility in Abu Dhabi to support its growing customer base which incorporates the assembly of some of Scott Safety’s key products, a service and warranty support department and a regional sales team offering customers advice and guidance on product selection.
Paul Shaw, Marketing Manager at Scott Safety said: “The company has developed a portfolio of innovative and reliable products that will reduce user burden and incorporate real-time telemetry, situational intelligence and communications in hazardous environments. The technologies can be fixed or portable to provide intelligence on the specific makeup of the fire and highest risk factors. We look forward to welcoming fire and safety professionals onto our stand at Intersec to experience how our technologies could help protect their workforce.”
At this year’s Intersec, Scott Safety will be introducing its newly extended range of portable gas detection solutions, with products from GMI and Oldham providing welcomed additions. The PS200 Series and the PS500 from GMI can be tailored to simultaneously detect 4 and 5 gases respectively; with penetrative and distinctive audio and visual alarms and customisable capabilities they offer an adaptable approach and unrivalled protection in hazardous confined spaces and noisy environments.
The BM25 wireless transportable multi gas detector from Oldham, also featured on the stand, bridges the gap between Scott’s portable and fixed gas detection range packing all the benefits of a fixed system area monitor in to a rugged, user-friendly and transportable instrument.
