SENSOR+TEST 2024: Focus on industry trends and challenges

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the SENSOR+TEST in Nuremberg will once again open its doors under the motto “Welcome to the Innovation Dialogue!” Visitors can look forward to three days full of hands-on technical innovations.

SENSOR+TEST 2024: Focus on industry trends and challenges

Until June 13, 2024, around 380 exhibitors will bring together visitors and experts from all over the world to discuss the latest industry trends and market challenges. The trade fair will be made even more attractive by a diverse supporting program.

“We are expecting around 400 exhibitors at this year's SENSOR+TEST, which is more than last year, despite the tense economic situation. This clearly shows the stability and attractiveness of our event. With many exciting highlights, the SENSOR+TEST will once again become even more attractive,” Elena Schultz, Managing Director of the organizer AMA Service GmbH, is convinced.

The challenge of calibration technology
The supporting program includes the “Calibration Area”, which is taking place for the first time. Under the motto “Innovative Calibration”, exhibitors will present innovations for the calibration of sensors and measurement technology in a compact area in Hall 2. The focus will be on digital concepts and the challenges of calibration. But the “Calibration Area” is more than just an attractive joint stand or individual stands. In combination with an open Technology Forum, it is the ideal platform for innovation dialog between manufacturers, calibration service providers and users. In the mornings, the Technology Forum offers an exciting program with best-practice presentations in which exhibitors present their tried-and-tested applications. In the afternoon, visitors can look forward to high-caliber special sessions.

Finding new challenges
For the second time, the “Job Lounge” will also take place on the first and third day of the fair. This is because the trade fair is of great importance not only for skilled workers, but above all for the start of a professional career. Numerous university institutes from the relevant subject areas regularly organize excursions to the SENSOR+TEST. For the exhibiting companies, this is an enormous potential, especially in the current situation. “The trade fair is the ideal platform for this and we will continue to expand our support services for overcoming the shortage of skilled workers in the coming years. We see it as our task to actively mediate and bring the important players together,” emphasizes Elena Schultz.

Information on the fly
Another highlight is the free lecture program for all visitors at the Forum in Hall 1, which takes place on all three days of the trade fair. Here, interested visitors can get an overview of the exhibitors' latest products and developments - virtually in passing. For those who are unable to attend, all presentations will be broadcast live and the recordings will be published online after the event. This also applies to the Technology Forum in Hall 2.

Congresses: From sensor technology to telemetry
The 22. GMA/ITG-Fachtagung Sensoren und Messsysteme, which will be held on 11 and 12 June 2024 by the Informationstechnische Gesellschaft im VDE (ITG) in cooperation with the VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik (GMA), will once again address the latest trends in sensor and measurement technology.

The ETTC 2024 European Test and Telemetry Conference (June 11-13, 2024) in Hall 2 is the most important international platform for telemetry, telecontrol, test instrumentation and data processing. Visitors and participants will experience the important role that telemetry technologies play for applications e.g. in the aerospace, automotive and biomedical industries in current industrial developments such as IoT, big data, wireless or UAV (drones).

SENSOR+TEST 2024 in Nuremberg focuses increasingly on internationality
The SENSOR+TEST is increasingly developing into an international player on the big world stage for sensor and measuring technology.

The trade fair reaches a new level in terms of internationality. In view of an increasingly globalized economy, the exhibitors present themselves in record numbers, with a particularly strong representation from countries such as Great Britain, the USA and East Asia.

The ongoing internationalization of the German economy opens up undreamt-of opportunities for the SENSOR+TEST. With a targeted international growth strategy, we are strengthening the trade fair in the field of sensor and measuring technology and supporting our exhibitors and AMA members in operating successfully on the global market,” emphasizes Elena Schultz, Managing Director of AMA Service GmbH (organizer of the SENSOR+TEST).

The changes in exhibitor and visitor structures at German trade fairs require a stronger international focus and adaptation of communication and the services offered. “The SENSOR+TEST 2024 in Nuremberg accepts this challenge and focuses on an even stronger integration of international players in order to meet the needs of a globally active industry,” emphasizes Elena Schultz, Managing Director of AMA Service GmbH (organizer of the SENSOR+TEST).

Still on the move digitally
Even though personal encounters and direct discussions are the focus of the SENSOR+TEST, the accompanying digital offerings will remain. The live broadcast of the forum presentations and the Digital Agenda as an online presentation forum during the trade fair will provide information channels for all those who cannot be present in Nuremberg. “Far more important, however, is the provision of the entire information platform with all company contacts, solutions, innovations and presentations beyond the trade fair. Thousands of users are constantly researching suitable providers and finding out about their offers,” adds Elena Schultz.
