Delta’s Extended Portfolio of Smart Industrial Automation, Telecom Power and UPS Solutions Demonstrated at Matelec Industry 2016 in Spain
Delta, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, announced it joins Matelec Industry 2016 to demonstrate its smart and energy-efficient Industrial Automation, Telecom Power and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Solutions which facilitate productivity improvement for its customers in the Iberian Peninsula. A wide range of industrial applications can benefit from our Integrated Factory Control Platform, a platform designed for smart manufacturing by leveraging the DIACloud* cloud service system and Delta’s communication, control and field devices for real-time monitoring and control. Our Telecom Power Solutions, featuring industry-leading energy efficiency of up to 97.5% and compatibility with renewable energy sources, are also part of Delta’s key pillars for sustainable development.

Key highlights of Delta’s exhibition at Matelec Industry 2016 are:
1) Industrial Automation Solutions:
l The Integrated Factory Control Platform is a solution conceived under the “smart manufacturing” concept as it integrates Delta’s industrial networking technology, control systems and field devices and the DIACloud cloud service system to enable real-time and remote monitoring and control under a “customer-centric” environment. Thus, this dynamic structure allows for efficiency enhancement and lower energy consumption in the production process since both the producer and the customer have, not only faster and broader access to critical information, but also to key tools to adjust rapidly within a production order. Some of Delta’s automation technologies supporting this Platform are:
- The highly versatile Industrial Ethernet Cloud Router DX-2300LN-WW series which supports Ethernet, serial interfaces RS232 and RS485, as well as MODBUS TCP and MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocols.
- Our mid-range programmable logic controller (PLC) AH500 series, capable of providing superior program execution of 0.3ms/1k steps and support for up to 4,352 digital I/Os.
- Delta’s DIAView SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system for production line visualization and management. It is highly adaptable to applications such as machinery, metallurgy, water treatment, HVAC, packaging, textiles, energy management, smart buildings and more.
l Delta’s Industrial Internet & Cloud Solution also allows for communications to enable real-time and remote management of industrial processes through the aforementioned Industrial Ethernet Router as well as the Industrial 3G Cloud Router which supports both MODBUS and MODBUS TCP protocols for data collection.
l Our Food Packaging Solution is a comprehensive platform leveraging the advanced capabilities of Delta’s PLC AH500 series, Machine Vision System DMV series, AC Motor Drives ASDA-A2-E series, AC Servo Motors and also inductive and photoelectric sensors. The ASDA-A2-E AC Servo Drive operates under an EtherCAT communication interface, full closed-loop control and vibration suppression to manage motors of up to 5.5kW/400V with faster, accurate performance in food packaging.
l Delta also brings its energy-saving technologies to the elevator industry with its Elevator Solution which features the Power Regenerative Unit REG2000 series to enable more than 40% electricity savings in buildings by converting regenerative energy into reusable power. The Elevator Drive ED series and the Door Control Drive VFD-DD also complement this Solution to enhance the performance of elevator operations in buildings.
2) Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS):
l Modular UPS:
A broad set of applications can benefit significantly from the excellent performance, high efficiency and convenient flexibility of Delta’s next-generation modular UPS system, Modulon DPH 75kW series UPS. It delivers fully rated power (power factor=1, kVA=kW) providing the maximum power capacity to the load and with low harmonic distortion (iTHD<3%) to applications such as medium-sized data centres. The hot-swappable power modules and key components of Delta’s UPS also ensure a Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) close to zero without downtime risk.
l Mono-block UPS:
With a three level IGBT topology, the Ultron HPH features 96% AC-AC efficiency and 99% efficiency in ECO mode, as well as fully-rated power (output power factor=1, kVA=kW) to provide maximum power capacity to the load without de-rating the UPS. This qualities make Delta’s Ultron HPH an ideal solution for customers to achieve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization in various applications.
l Other Power Solutions for Reliable and Eco-friendly Operations:
To support small and medium-sized enterprises and their networking, security, surveillance and POS (Point of Sale) systems, Delta brings to Spain its single-phase UPSs Amplon N 1-3k and RT 1-10k. We will also display a single rack IT power management solution for easy 1+1 redundancy by using the Delta RT UPS, which meets the TIA-942 Tier 2 reliability requirement. Lastly, our Static Transfer Switch (STS) plays a key role for power redundant configurations for high reliability.
3) Telecom Power Solutions:
Delta’s core competence in delivering industry-leading efficiency in its power supply technology to realize significant energy savings for its customers is plainly reflected in its Telecom Power Solutions which have built a formidable track record in Spain. Our showcase at Matelec Industry 2016 will include rectifiers with leading conversion efficiency of up to 97.5%. For 4G applications, we also offer the iF Design Award and Red Dot Award winner Golden Eagle small cell system, which boasts energy efficiency as high as 96% with a compact design. Outdoor and indoor power systems with smart controllers offer integration to both traditional and green energy sources to allow telecom carriers achieve higher opex savings and more eco-friendly operations.
Matelec Industry 2016 is one of the most prominent industrial tradeshows in Spain and will be held at Feria Madrid from October 25 to 28. Delta will unveil its solutions at Hall 3, Stand 3D06.
