FORVIA, a global automotive technology supplier, participated in Rematec, the world's leading remanufacturing trade show for automotive industry professionals, held from April 8th to 10th in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Reparlab: Celebrating 20 Years of Circular Economy and 1 Million Parts Repaired
Based in Nancy, France, Reparlab had extended the life cycle of automotive electronic parts since 2005, reducing waste and promoting a circular economy. It played a key role in FORVIA’s sustainability efforts, processing tens of thousands of repairs annually with a 96% success rate. Reparlab developed a multi-brand catalogue of over 1,500 products across 15 families—including navigation systems, radios, ECUs, AdBlue tanks, instrument clusters—and recently added ABS module repairs. In 2025, it celebrated its 20th anniversary and reached 1 million completed repairs.
A Key Player in Circular Economy and Sustainability
FORVIA’s repair and remanufacturing solutions significantly reduced waste from defective parts, cutting CO₂ emissions and the need for virgin materials and energy by more than 85% compared to producing new parts. These services offered a cost-effective solution to car owners across Europe, with savings of 50% to 80% over new part replacements. Reparlab showcased how sustainable practices could provide both environmental and financial value.
Expanding Product Portfolio and Global Reach
Reparlab had built strong partnerships with major OEMs, delivering electronic repairs to over 7,000 dealerships and garages across Europe. In 2024, it accelerated development with new product lines and the launch of a repair center in the UK. It also expanded operations into the independent aftermarket and integrated synergies with FORVIA HELLA.
With consistent growth in the aftermarket, remanufacturing, and increasing electronics content in vehicles, Reparlab aimed to double its activities over the next three years.
