The Southco® AC-30 and AC-40 actuators are the first actuators from Southco suitable for entry door solutions and harsh environments. Constructed of corrosion-resistant materials, the actuators are designed for applications in the off-highway, marine and transportation industries.
Three years ago, inventor of the quarter-turn quick access fastener, Dzus Fasteners, took quarter-turn fasteners to a new and unrivalled level with the development of the D8. Incorporating advanced and unique manufacturing technology using a rolled cam form process exclusive to parent company Southco, this quick access fastener has seen sales increase by 28% overall, including 60% growth in the US in the past year alone.
The VIN identification number is listed on the body of a car which helps to ensure traceability of a vehicle throughout the manufacturing process, but also after it leaves the factory, right to the end of the life of the vehicle. VIN Marking is also being used extensively in heavy plant and for trailer traceability.

As one of the leading manufacturers of components, systems and solutions for electrical engineering and automation, Eaton’s Electrical Sector today announced the expanding of the soft starter series DS7 with devices up to 200 A. The soft starter is increasingly becoming established as an alternative to the star-delta starter. Users are thus provided with a complete system from 4 to 200 A with a standard actuation and functionality that will fully replace the previous DS4 and DS6 series. The supply voltage on the DS7 ranges from 200 to 480 V, and versions with 24 V AC/DC and 110-230V AC actuation are available.
