Manitou Group, a world reference in handling solutions, personnel lifting and earthmoving equipment, has chosen SERE Maintenance, a member of EUROPONT and the SAV VERLINDE network, to equip its new rough-terrain aerial platform production unit in Candé, Maine-et-Loire, with overhead cranes and lifting equipment. This 18,000m² plant, which has been in operation since the end of 2021, is part of an overall plan to develop and modernise industrial tools at all the group's sites. It was launched with the aim of increasing the group's production capacity in response to strong demand from the European and North American markets.

In order to ensure the longevity and robustness of metal structures, they manufacture and export products and accessories designed for cathodic protection (rectifiers, anodes, electrodes, switch cabinets and boxes, etc.). Sere Maintenance handles VERLINDE equipment commercially and is a member of the EUROPONT network.

Meije, manufacturer of overhead cranes, gantry cranes, installer of handling equipment and member of Verlinde's EUROPONT and after-sales network, has won a tender for the renewal of a travelling crane in the hydroelectric plant at Mauzac, Dordogne. Present production of electricity at the plant enables some 15,000 households to be provided with this source of energy. The replaced overhead crane was commissioned in 1924 when the facility was built. Having become obsolescent, its use was suspended in 2019.
