Emergent Vision Technologies Introduces eSDK Pro to Accelerate Vision System Development

Emergent Vision Technologies has introduced eSDK Pro, an advanced software development kit designed to significantly reduce the time and complexity required to design and deploy high-performance vision systems. The new SDK targets engineers building multi-camera, multi-server vision architectures and supports rapid development for OEM projects as well as integration with third-party software environments.

Built specifically for modern high-bandwidth imaging networks, eSDK Pro simplifies image acquisition, processing, transfer, and storage across 10, 25, and 100GigE infrastructures. The software abstracts complex scheduling, memory management, and synchronization tasks, enabling engineers to focus on defining system functionality rather than writing low-level data-handling code. In internal testing, development teams achieved up to 90% reductions in programming time compared with traditional vision SDK workflows.

The SDK uses a pipeline-driven architecture in which tasks such as recording, transformation, GPU transfer, and output are defined modularly. eSDK Pro then automatically manages execution across CPUs, GPUs, and other accelerators. This approach reduces dropped frames, improves determinism, and scales reliably across multi-camera and multi-server deployments.

eSDK Pro shares a common software backbone with eCapture Pro, Emergent’s graphical vision software platform. Proof-of-concept work created in eCapture Pro can be transferred directly into eSDK Pro for OEM deployment, and vice versa, streamlining the transition from development to production.

The SDK includes Emergent’s FlexProc and FlexTrans frameworks, enabling efficient acceleration using GPUs, FPGAs, and CPUs. Tight integration with NVIDIA GPU Direct and Emergent’s zero-copy data transfer technology allows imaging data to move efficiently from camera to processing hardware without unnecessary memory overhead.

Designed for demanding use cases such as sports broadcasting, volumetric capture, industrial inspection, and scientific imaging, eSDK Pro supports GigE Vision 3.0, RDMA/RoCEv2, and GenICam standards. The software is available for both Windows and Linux platforms.

“eSDK Pro brings together everything we’ve learned from more than a decade of high-speed imaging innovation,” said John Ilett, President and Founder of Emergent Vision Technologies. “Engineers can now build scalable, high-performance vision systems without spending months on low-level data handling.”
