ANDRITZ AG to Supply Steel Yankee to Ahlstrom Corporation

Ahlstrom Sweden AB has awarded ANDRITZ AG an order to supply a PrimeDry Steel Yankee drying cylinder for a machine-glazed (MG) and specialty paper machine at its Billingsfors mill in Sweden.

The new equipment will replace the existing cast-iron Yankee cylinder on paper machine PM6, improving drying performance and supporting long-term operational reliability. Start-up of the new system is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Improved drying efficiency and production stability
The PrimeDry Steel Yankee is designed to enhance the efficiency of MG paper production while ensuring stable operation and consistent product quality.
