Federal-Mogul Motorparts today announced the launch of Garage Gurus, a no-cost platform that aims to provide comprehensive support tools for technicians, workshop owners and distributors. The service provides technical support and training through a variety of resources: onsite, online and on-demand. The novelty of the program has been recognized through its recent nomination for the Innovation Award of the 25th Automechanika Frankfurt, in the competitive category of Repair & Diagnostics.

The Garage Gurus program is comprised of four main pillars, focusing on technical support:
Gurus Onsite: Lessons and courses hosted at the Garage Gurus’ purpose-built, high-tech facility in the Netherlands or at regional hubs.
Gurus On-the-Go: A fleet of technology-equipped vans that will tour workshops to provide interactive demonstrations and teach workshop personnel about the latest tools, part solutions and technologies. This service will initially launch in seven countries, with additional countries added later. 7 Countries: France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Poland, Serbia, Romania
Gurus Online: A technical training online platform that can be accessed 24/7 to help educate and develop knowledge of automotive systems, components and maintenance. The website includes interactive learning modules, technical tips and troubleshooting video guides.

The level of support we can offer customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa has significantly increased through this initiative.

“The main purpose of Garage Gurus is to engage with and assist the mechanics with grease on their hands, the ones installing parts 9-5 each week,” he continued. “We believe that trained and informed technicians are the heart of the rapidly evolving vehicle repair industry. The program is an adaptation of an acclaimed system used by Federal-Mogul Motorparts in the US, and has been modified to suit the demanding market in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Garage Gurus encompasses and replaces F-M Campus, the marketing support program FM4Me, and the ETCC (European Technical Call Centre). Combining previous educational, support and promotional programs provides significant benefits to customers throughout the region, with all their available resources under one umbrella.
