Wireless Safety – compact, flexible and open
With the compact S-DIAS system, wireless Safety can be implemented flexibly, space-saving and economically.
Consisting of a standard CPU combined with a Safety controller and Safety I/Os, a thin solution for the DIN rail is achieved. The S-DIAS Safety System complies with SIL 3, PL e, Cat. 4.Safety data is exchanged – whether via cable or wireless – according to the Black Channel principle. For wireless transmission, common WLAN access points are used. For multiple mobile units with Safety functions such as automated guided vehicle systems, the central Safety manager can also be implemented with an S-DIAS Safety system.
One great feature is the certified function “Optional Switch”. In the Safety application, it allows switching Safety devices to active or inactive via the HMI with password protection. Registering mobile units is also dynamically processed in the application.
Thanks to the extensive library, Safety applications can be comfortably configured in the LASAL SAFETYDesigner. The Safety function blocks are based on the PLCopen standard and can be placed, exactly as the safe in- and outputs, simply via Drag & Drop. The integrated debugger enables the graphic representation of all values and clearly displays the status and signal flow of the Safety functions.
