AMETEK NCC Launches New Flexible Fryer Control
AMETEK National Control Corporation (NCC) — a leading supplier of electronic cooking controls — is launching the new Flexible Fryer Control (FFC), a control module that helps enhance fryer performance by interfacing directly with critical internal management systems.
FFC engages with a fryer’s heating, filtration, oil quality, oil level, basket lift and wireless systems to improve reliability and help reduce performance
issues.
FFC is equipped with several safety protocols, including the Idle Mode with Life-Guard algorithm, which lowers the oil temperature and reduces duty cycles whenever the fryer has not been activated for a period of time. This helps reduce overuse of moving parts within the fryer.
Additionally, FFC features Melt Mode, which slowly heats the oil when the unit first starts. The slow heating is required as hot spots can develop in the vat, which will give a false measurement at the temperature sensor location. This is especially true when a hard shortening is used as a cooking medium.
The NCC FFC offers a unique intelligent adaptive control and a customizable interface that allows equipment manufacturers to rapidly respond to customer needs. Additional features include:
• Programmable timer for 10 products with flex time cooking
• Split vats and automatic basket lifting capabilities
• PC Program to adjust cooking curve and real-time data logging
