Yokogawa Extends Energy Management to the Enterprise Segment
Global partnership with Green Koncepts to power comprehensive cloud-based IoT solution for real-time monitoring and analysis of buildings and facilities.
Enterprise energy management solutionYokogawa Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6841) announces the launch of a cloud-based solution that provides centralized energy and environment management for the enterprise segment. The development of this solution was made possible by the signing of a global partnership agreement with Green Koncepts, a Singapore-based IoT energy management solutions provider.
Building operations currently account for almost 30% of global final energy use and more than a quarter of energy-related CO2 emissions*. With building energy consumption and CO2 emissions showing every indication that they will continue to rise, many countries have assigned a high priority in their energy policies to the implementation of energy efficiency strategies. Through the offering of this new enterprise energy management solution, Yokogawa will address the compelling needs to reduce energy costs and improve facility management efficiency.
Yokogawa currently offers a range of products and services that help customers reduce and optimize energy consumption in their manufacturing and production facilities. The new solution extends the company's energy management capabilities from industrial facilities to the enterprise market, for use with buildings such as data centers and offices. In addition to managing the energy consumption of utilities, this solution provides functionality for the management of lighting, air quality, and occupancy.
The new enterprise solution connects sensors, meters, controllers, building management systems, and other IoT devices through an interoperability framework. The cloud-based solution aggregates and analyzes all energy-related data and helps energy managers identify underperforming facilities and processes, and monitor continuous performance improvement.
Yukihiro Funyu, a Yokogawa vice president and head of Digital Strategy HQ and DX Platform Center in Digital Enterprise Business HQ, said, "The partnership with Green Koncepts enables Yokogawa to offer an IoT-based enterprise energy optimization solution for building and facilities management. It delivers real-time monitoring and AI-driven data analysis that aligns with our digital transformation goal of connecting the unconnected."
Kenneth Lee, founder and CEO of Green Koncepts, said, "This partnership provides Yokogawa with a robust and innovative IoT platform for its enterprise customers globally to enable smart facility and sustainability management, helping enterprises accelerate their digital transformation. Green Koncepts' cloud IoT platform offers plug and play integration with sensors and controllers. We make data acquisition simple and cost-effective by reducing the complexities and driving cost savings, operational efficiency, and productivity for their buildings."
