Edge systems for enhanced water operations

Specialist highlights latest edge control and computing systems at Water Equipment Show.

One prime example is Emerson’s RX3i CPL410 edge controller. This uses hypervisor technology to support an ‘outer loop’ — sharing of machine data with external data and systems —alongside the inner loop of real-time deterministic control processes, without impacting performance of control functionality.
