Power quality specialist releases new book ahead of EMC & Compliance International
REO UK showcases its guide on EMI filters at upcoming EMC exhibition.
Power quality specialist REO UK will attend the EMC & Compliance International show at Newbury Racecourse in Newbury, Berkshire, from May 18 to 19, 2022. REO will showcase its latest book on EMI Filters as well as its range of high quality power equipment, which includes components, electrical regulators and electrical controllers. To enquire about these solutions, attendees can visit REO on stand 34.
At EMC & Compliance International 2022, REO will showcase its latest book, The Engineers’ Practical Guide to EMI Filters. This will be the 18th book published by REO and is written by Dr. Min Zhang, an associate of Cherry Clough Consultants LTD. The guide focuses on helping engineers understand the fundamentals of EMI and advises them on how to design effective filters so that products like inductors, capacitors and resistors will pass EMC standards. The book will be available for attendees at REO’s stand.
Accompanying the guide, REO’s stand will feature a range of products used in medium-voltage power systems for applications like electric vehicles, wind turbines and electro-medical solutions. These products include EMC filters, water cooling systems and chokes. Several of these products have benefits that can deliver return on investment through lower energy consumption and increased product life. As an example, REO’s latest generation of N CNW chokes and filters can reduce power loss by up to 25 per cent as a result of its reduced weight and single layer structure.
Attendees will be able to speak to Steve Hughes, managing director of REO UK, and Michelle Gillam, operations manager at REO UK, at EMC & Compliance International. Attendees will also be able to enquire about REO’s ability to offer product modifications and bespoke designs that would best suit their business needs.
“EMC & Compliance International is the perfect time to show off REO’s new book on The Engineers’ Practical Guide to EMI Filters,” explained Steve Hughes. “EMC testing can be monotonous and challenging, especially if your product continues to fail. This event provides us with an opportunity to share expertise with people who need support, whether that’s support in designing an EMI filter or in simulating its performance. Our new book, which will be available on our stand, is a helpful tool that we are eager to share with the show’s visitors”
EMC & Compliance International is a free exhibition that focuses on electromagnetic compatibility technology that affects all aspects of electrical equipment. This will be the first live event in Newbury for seven years and will feature over 30 companies who are experts in their field on EMC directives, components and EMC modelling software. The show also includes a full programme of EMC training sessions and workshops that are available to attendees on topics such as Brexit, simulation and suppressing electrostatic discharge (ESD).
