Pilz at LogiMAT 2023, Hall 6, Stand A21 - Safe, complete package for AGVS

At LogiMAT, the international trade fair for intralogistics, from 25 – 27 April, the automation company Pilz will be presenting its complete solution for safe automation and operation of automated guided vehicle systems (AGVS).

Pilz at LogiMAT 2023, Hall 6, Stand A21 - Safe, complete package for AGVS
The automation company Pilz is presenting its safety and industrial security solutions for safe automation and safe operation of AGVS at LogiMAT, the international trade fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management (25 - 27 April). Its motto: “We’ll make your AGVS safe!”

As well as the product solution comprising safety laser scanner and control technology, plus the industrial firewall, it also includes the services package, through to CE marking in accordance with ISO 3691-4. Another highlight in Stuttgart: visitors can find out how an Identification and Access Management system with clearly defined permissions contributes towards greater security in intralogistics.

On the Pilz stand, visitors to the trade fair will experience how AGVS can be automated and operated safely, taking all the spatial and infrastructural conditions into account. In action on the AGVS model: the safety laser scanner PSENscan for collision protection for human and AGVS, the modular safety relay myPNOZ and the configurable small controller PNOZmulti 2 as safe evaluation units, plus the industrial firewall SecurityBridge for tamper protection. Together, the safe and secure product solution ensures efficient intralogistics processes by avoiding downtimes and thus increasing productivity. That applies whether you have track-bound or freely navigating AGVS.

Services package for safe operation
In addition to the product solution for AGVS manufacturers, at LogiMAT Pilz will also be exhibiting its comprehensive services package for operators of AGVS – covering the development of safety concepts right through to commissioning, including training for staff. ISO 3691-4 is the relevant standard, providing the normative framework. On request, Pilz experts can accompany the operator right through to the international conformity assessment (such as CE marking for example) and thereby assume responsibility for the safe implementation of the AGVS application.

Clearly regulate access
To protect intralogistics processes from tampering or operating errors, a comprehensive Identification and Access Management system represents a solution that combines safety and industrial security. So, for example, mobile applications can be protected from unauthorised access with the access permission system PITreader. Users receive their individual permissions on a compact RFID transponder, which they can use to authorise themselves directly on the process. Visitors to the trade fair will see experts from Pilz demonstrate on site how flexible the solution is to implement in practice.

Cooperation for safe fleet management
For even greater productivity in intralogistics, Pilz - in cooperation with NAiSE GmbH, the expert for material flow automation - offers the world's first traffic and order management software for all participants in intralogistics. NAiSE Traffic analyses the flow of traffic and goods in intralogistics applications safely and efficiently in real-time – for humans as well as industrial trucks such as AGVS or forklifts, from across a range of manufacturers. On their shared stand, visitors can try out for themselves how NAiSE Traffic works, and find out more information about other solutions from the Stuttgart-based start-up.
