RS launches a circuit simulator tool for 1.3 million DesignSpark engineering community members, marking the 13th anniversary of the platform.

RS unveils circuit simulation tool for DesignSpark on Engineering Community's 13th anniversary

In partnership with Siemens Digital Industries Software’s PartQuest Explore team, all DesignSpark members, regardless of their subscription option, will have access to the new DesignSpark Circuit Simulator tool. This browser-based tool provides a comprehensive environment for designing, modeling, simulating, and analyzing electronic and mechatronic circuits and systems. Engineers can leverage this powerful tool to design, build, and test circuits quickly and efficiently before moving on to physical implementation.

The DesignSpark Circuit Simulator offers a range of specific features. These include the ability to quickly sketch electronic schematics on the go, easily create interactive reference designs for testing and understanding applications, simulate complex circuits online to save time and computing resources, a simulation run-time of up to 60 minutes, private project-collaboration groups, and full support for SPICE and VHDL-AMS models. In addition to the simulation capabilities, the tool enables users to incorporate single or multiple reference designs into their projects during the design stage and to modify them as needed.

“On the 13th anniversary of its initial launch, and following the launch of DesignSpark 2.0 in April 2023, RS is proud to present yet another landmark and exciting development in DesignSpark’s continuing evolution. We are always looking to partner with industry-leading suppliers, such as Siemens PartQuest Explore, to bring even more value to our members and further augment our engineering resources for the benefit of the entire DesignSpark community,” said Mike Bray, Vice President – Innovation and DesignSpark at RS.

DesignSpark Circuit Simulator will run in most modern web browsers and on any device, and it has full coverage for analog, digital, mixed-signal, and multi-domain systems, including electromechanical and electrothermal simulations.
