Remote monitoring specialist targets international growth with new appointment
Stuart McIntosh has joined the Omniflex team as a business development manager to help develop its structural monitoring and cathodic protection business offering in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
The company has identified these markets as ripe for Omniflex to expand into. The need for flexible and tailored CP systems will only grow and McIntosh is ready to help Omniflex provide these services.
McIntosh has worked exploring new business opportunities for system integration companies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE for eleven years of his career. From coordinating Qatar Petroleum for global engineering firm ABB to an equipment specifying role in the aluminium industry and most recently winning industrial maintenance contracts for Bilfinger, his experience is diverse and comprehensive.
"Our priority in the Middle East and mainland Europe is to raise awareness of Omniflex in the target regions and proactively engage potential customers to build business relationships,” said Gary Bradshaw, director of Omniflex. “By bringing Stuart on board, we’re investing in his vast knowledge across many existing and new industries we wish to develop into.”
It isn’t just McIntosh’s technical and business acumen that led to his appointment. After eleven years living in the Arabian Peninsula, his understanding of international business conduct will also help Omniflex develop a presence in the region.
Away from work, McIntosh is a family man with two grown up sons and enjoys building, maintaining and, of course, riding motorcycles around the winding Merseyside roads. All of us at Omniflex welcome him warmly and wish him a long, happy and rewarding career here.
