ABB TRUFIT™ POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT PROVIDES RAPID, SPACE-SAVING SOLUTION FOR DATA CENTERS

ABB Electrification continues to support the rapid roll-out and scaling of data centres with the launch of a next-generation three-phase power distribution unit (PDU). The TruFit PDU provides superior system-level configurability, reliability, and safety features for 50-800 kVA applications.

Whether feeding busways or providing power directly to the racks, the TruFit PDU supports both sub-feed and panelboard distribution up to 400A. Its compact front-access design eliminates side and rear clearances, delivering floorspace savings of up to 36 percent.

The TruFit PDU features ABB’s PowerView Pro, the company's first multifunctional PDU monitoring system to provide a truly holistic view of equipment health and performance. PowerView Pro combines revenue-grade branch or sub-feed metering with breaker status monitoring and integrated thermal monitoring. ABB’s integrated thermal monitoring automates traditional, manual thermography routines, continuously monitoring the temperature of input/output bolted connections. PowerView Pro ensures optimal efficiency and proactively identifies potential loosening connections.

The TruFit PDU leverages ABB’s circuit breaker expertise to provide advanced protection for critical power applications. TruFit is equipped with SACE® Tmax® circuit breakers, tested for more than 100,000 hours and 20,000 operations, for peak reliability and performance.

The TruFit PDU is engineered with safety in mind, upholding continuity to critical loads, reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR), and optimizing white space utilization. Its compartmentalized design provides maximum isolation between functional sections, allowing easy service access to consumable components without de-energizing the load.
