Hutchinson launches a range of lower carbon EPDM foams
To meet the growing need for sustainable solutions, Hutchinson, expert in rubber and manufacturer of cellular and compact rubber solutions, is launching a lower carbon version of its Bulatex® EPDM foams.
These lower carbon foams offer a reduction of CO2 emissions from 22 to 35% compared to the classic Bulatex foams. The reduction per reference has been calculated based on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) in accordance with ISO 14040 and ISO 140064. Main emission factors are considered including raw materials, packaging, energy, transport, water, machinery, and waste.Bulatex® is a full range of both open and closed-cell EPDM foams. They offer technical properties that make them ideal for thermal and acoustic insulation, water, air and dust tightnes and wedging. Bulatex references are designed, developed, produced in Hutchinson plants. They are available in blocks, rolls or die-cut parts that are fully adapted to assembly constraint and customer requirements.
Hutchinson will be showcasing its solutions at Foam Expo in Stuttgart from December 5th to 7th on booth 430.
