For most companies, 2024 was not an easy year. Nabtesco also had to take appropriate measures and make certain actions to become more competitive. At the same time, the precision gear specialist remains cautiously optimistic. “Of course, we are feeling the effects of the difficult economic situation. Especially the cooling investment climate in the automotive sector, which is an important sector for us, has affected our order books. We are seeing positive developments in sectors such as medical technology, where we are currently experiencing strong demand. Despite the adversities and increased competition, we generally made it through the challenging times relatively well," says Daniel Obladen, Director Sales & Marketing at Nabtesco Precision Europe GmbH in retrospect.
The foundations are laid for the future
For more than 35 years, Nabtesco has been providing optimal gear and drive strategies for modern high-tech applications and has earned a reputation as a highly innovative partner for automation solutions. Expansion of the product portfolio – zero backlash strain wave gears at the Ovalo GmbH location in Limburg (Lahn) – last year has expanded Nabtesco Precision Europe’s solution competence and reinforced the company’s position as a global technology and innovation leader. “With our cycloidal gears and strain wave gears, we offer two extremely powerful technologies that complement one other perfectly. The result is full scalability from 7 to 28,000 Nm within the product portfolio, which enables us to implement suitable precision gear solutions for literally all axes and applications – from very small to extremely large. That is unique on the market,” Daniel Obladen says with emphasis.

“The demands of the year 2024 were high, but doors were also opened. That is why we look back on the past twelve months with mixed feelings and look forward to the coming year with cautious optimism. We have set a number of milestones throughout our history. Currently, we are once again in an important key phase. The journey continues,” says Daniel Obladen.
