Dynamic bridge axes for powerful applications

Requirements for payloads, precision and environmental resistance are constantly increasing. Depending on the area of application, the type of drive plays an important role. We therefore offer our dynamic heavy-duty axes with a closed aluminium profile in three different drive types.




A toothed belt drive enables high speeds over a long travel distance, as required for fast handling and positioning tasks, for example. Linear motor drives are particularly suitable for applications in which high accelerations and speeds are to be combined with high precision and minimal maintenance effort at the same time. And if the highest payloads at maximum speed over almost unlimited strokes are required, as is the case with large gantries, for example, we also offer our bridge axes with​​​​​​​ rack and pinion drive. The drive design is particularly suitable for harsh environmental conditions, as often found in demanding heavy-duty applications. The drive enables comparatively good positioning accuracy, high efficiency and achieves travel speeds of up to 5 m/s. A servo motor is used to initiate a rotational movement directly at the guide carriage by means of a gearbox, thus achieving direct power transmission. An oil-soaked felt wheel built into the slide continuously supplies the rack with the necessary lubrication during operation, depending on the lubrication system.

We also offer our cantilever axes with a rack and pinion drive, among other things. The flexibly applicable positioning modules – in which the drive block is fixed and the cantilever is movable – also have the closed aluminum profile. This makes the cantilever axis particularly torsionally stiff, which makes the axis particularly suitable for vertical applications with high loads. In addition, high feed forces and speeds can be achieved.
