MULTIPOINT LOCKING SYSTEM MADE OF GLASS-FIBRE REINFORCED PLASTIC

EMKA has further optimised its multipoint locking system for switch cabinets. The use of connecting rods made of glass fibre-reinforced polyamide significantly increases the strength values of the system. The upgrade delivers previously unattained stability and also opens up new possibilities in the price-sensitive segment for larger enclosures and housings up to a door height of 220 cm.

With the locking components made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic, EMKA has created an attractive alternative to bar systems made of metal.

With this upgrade, EMKA succeeds in balancing robustness, efficient handling and lower costs. By using plastic, the closures no longer conduct electricity and are less susceptible to corrosion. In addition, material is cheaper than the metal components used so far.

The multipoint locking solution outside the door seal is currently offered at very cost-attractive set prices in two handle versions. The sets differ in the lever handle used and the length of the connecting rods. The different design of the handles causes different hole patterns. There is a choice of three different actuations for locking the handles:
  • Handles with profile-half cylinder,
  • Handles with round cylinder and
  • Handle with double bit.
Assembly of handle with little effort
The assembly of handle with actuation, rod guides and clip-in connecting rods requires little effort. When opening and closing the wardrobe door, the connecting rods with 18 mm stroke are pushed in and out of the lock holders fixed to the door frame.

The connecting rods are available in two lengths from the factory. However, due to the plastic material, they can be shortened variably and quickly. All plastic parts are produced in black as standard, other colour designs such as silver metallic are also possible.
