CARRIER TRANSICOLD DELIVERS TWO NEW VECTOR 1550 UNITS TO TIMOTHY TAYLOR’S
Continuing a working relationship dating back more than 20 years, the trailers join a 100% Carrier-cooled fleet used to deliver the brewery’s full range of beers to customers across the UK.
Timothy Taylor’s brewery has taken delivery of two new temperature-controlled trailers, each configured with a Carrier Transicold Vector® 1550 unit. The powerful Carrier Transicold Vector 1550 units are each mounted to 13.6-metre Lawrence David trailers, replacing older equivalent Carrier products in Timothy Taylor’s mixed commercial vehicle fleet. The new arrivals will operate Monday through Friday from the company’s brewery in Keighley, Yorkshire, which it has called home since 1858.
Each Vector 1550 features Carrier Transicold’s E-Drive all-electric technology, which removes mechanical transmissions found in belt-driven truck and trailer refrigeration systems. Timothy Taylor’s will use its on-site solar panels to power the new Vector units overnight to maximise sustainability potential and streamline fleet operations.
The brewery continues to use the Carrier Transicold Vector 1550, as it delivers the ideal refrigeration solution for its transportation requirements, providing exceptional pull-down speeds and accurate set-point control. Without Carrier Transicold’s equipment, high external temperatures in the summer can adversely accelerate the second fermentation process, rupturing the casks and ruining the loads, whereas in the winter months the cold can create a chill haze on the beer affecting the clarity of the pint.
The customer’s new units are also backed by Carrier Transicold’s comprehensive BluEdge fixed-cost full-service maintenance package, which includes annual temperature control testing and certification, full F-Gas regulatory checks and access to the company’s oneCALL™ 24/7 incident management service.
